POLIO Australia, the Rotary Club of Caloundra, and Friends of the Caloundra Lighthouses have been raising awareness about the global fight against polio.

If you drove past the Caloundra Lighthouse on Sunday, October 13, around 6pm, you may have noticed it glowing orange, symbolising the worldwide effort to eradicate polio.

Rotary members have contributed over $2.1 billion, protecting nearly three billion people in 122 countries. Since 1988, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has matched every Rotary donation two to one, providing essential support, medical resources, and educational tools for health workers and parents.
