The Glasshouse Hinterland Division 3 Senior Men’s team has started the season on a high, defeating the Hinterland Blues 100-17 at home on Friday, April 25.
Lions player Dylan Rowe scored the most goals of the game, with 6, while vice-captain Samuel Noble added 3. Rowe, Noble, Darcy Cross, Daniel Byford, Regan Sloan, and Jack Tuthill were among the standout players for the Glasshouse team.
The Lions had their highest increase in points from the third to fourth quarter, scoring just shy of 50 points. The team moved into their current division after finishing as runners-up in the Division 4 North grand final last year against the UQ Red Lions. This season, the Lions are facing teams from Sunshine Coast clubs, whereas last year they competed against north Brisbane sides.
The Glasshouse Lions’ next game will be against Caloundra on Friday, May 2, at Carter Park at 7:30 pm.
