THIS Saturday is the commencement of the 2026 Sunshine Coast District Pennants competition with Maleny playing Palmwoods at home from 1pm.
Other teams in our division include Club Kawana, Yandina, Club Maroochy, Woombye, Club Mooloolaba and Pelican Waters. 7 rounds of home and away fixtures run through until 5 September followed by finals.
After a hiatus of fourteen years Maleny (2009) Maleny re-engaged with Pennant competition and were successful in winning Mens Division 10 (2023), Mens Division 9 (2024) & Mixed Division 9 (2025).
This year we are in Mixed Division 7 and looking forward to competing against district bowls clubs.
Our members certainly hold their own and the camaraderie amongst the team members has resulted in some terrific outcomes that we hope to replicate in 2026.
On Tuesday 14th July we hosted a Mixed Pairs competition as part of the Sunshine Coast District Bowls Association Winter Carnival which was a resounding success.
Players from New Zealand and across Australia as well as Maleny competed in four games of fantastic lawn bowls.
Local teams and players performed very well against their opposition which was awesome to see.
