MONDAY 28th September was our Monthly Triples Competition proudly sponsored byMaleny Hotel where we welcomed visiting teams from Kilcoy, Woodford, Mapleton, Glasshouse and Kenilworth Bowls Clubs.
This popular event sees Maleny teams versus visitors in two rounds of 12 ends of bowls with a break for lunch.
Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers who assisted on the day especially Relma & Lucy who provided the amazing lunch.
Thanks also to Maleny Quality Meats who supplied the meat for lunch and the terrific meat tray raffle prize.
On Wednesday 30th September we will be hosting Maleny Senior Citizens who will be coming to play some lawn bowls that will include an amazing morning tea.
This will be an alternative to their regular indoor bowls played at the Maleny Community Centre. It was arranged by an invitation from our Board Member Doug Johnstone who happened to be passing by a couple of weeks ago and dropped in to see what was going on.
This is a timely reminder to Maleny community groups, sporting organisations and local businesses that lawn bowls is a fabulous activity for all ages and abilities that is fun as well as challenging.
It is a great way to bond and relax in a safe environment.
We encourage guests to self cater to minimise costs and operate a licenced bar with very reasonable prices.
