OUR Wednesday Twilight Bowls Winter Competition is currently underway which is a terrific entry level to the game of lawn bowls played under the stars that includes free use of club bowls.
If you enjoy sport then you will enjoy the challenge of lawn bowls with the added bonus of meeting friendly like-minded players.
Come alone, bring a friend or enter your own team, everyone is welcome and guaranteed with burgers from 6pm and a game from 6:30pm.
Friday Scroungers (2pm) is proving to be very popular this year with a record 295 participants January to March (194 same period 2025) playing singles play handicap competition that evens out the field with newer bowlers beating our veterans.
In this game the Jack is played from wherever it lands as per conventional respotting on the centre line.
This puts players to the test with each end being a different length and position on the green.
New bowlers and visitors are welcome to come and give it a go.
On Saturday was our Mix FM “Give Me 5” Free community event that was a major success with a terrific crowd of local families enjoying the festivities.
It was made possible by our incredible bowls club volunteers, the entertainers, the caterers and our awesome organisers Lucinda Morley, Julie Tayyah, Brock Rasmussen and Brett Gillis for their expertise, enthusiasm and making it all come together.
