OUR Club Championship Mens Pairs was held over the weekend with some great bowls being played and close contests in this knock out competition.
Round 1 Richard Groves & Les Bennett 23 defeated Trevor McLean & Brett Gillis 16 and Basil Kapoulitsa & Rob Coffey 25 defeated Hardi Kurnadi & Dave Robson 12.
Round 2 Richard Groves & Les Bennett 24 defeated Nick Stoneman & Greg Sauer 18 and Basil Kapoulitsa & Rob Coffey 29 defeated Ian Porter & Doug Johnstone 20.
Final Basil Kapoulitsa & Rob Coffey 22 defeated Richard Groves & Les Bennett 18.
Congratulations to Basil Kapoulitsa & Rob Coffey who will represent Maleny in the Sunshine Coast District Bowls Association Champion of Champions Mens Pairs competition being held at The Waves on 30th & 31st May 2026.

This weekend 23rd & 24th May we will be conducting our Club Championship Ladies & Mens Singles competition with the winners to represent Maleny in the Sunshine Coast District Bowls Association Champion of Champions Singles competition on 20th & 21st June 2026.
On Friday evening it was terrific to welcome Ochre Medical Centre who enjoyed social barefoot bowls before heading to Maleny Hotel for dinner.
This is a great way to bond with workmates for an hour or two leading into the weekend.
We cater for small groups of 10 or more which costs $10 per player anytime between 4:30pm and 7pm on Friday’s.
