Maleny Bowls Club’s annual Plum Pudding Day 2022 held on Thursday November 10 was a resounding success with teams participating from Pelican Waters, Nambour, Club Maroochy, Pacific Paradise, The Waves Caloundra, Club Kawana, Mooloolaba, Glasshouse, Buderim and Woombye Bowls Clubs.
Teams were vying for our famous home made Plum Puddings cooked by our amazing members and volunteers.
As tradition rules at start of play there was a ‘Spider’ with all players rolling a single bowl all at once with the winners bowl stopping beneath the spider – quite a shot and worthy of the plum pudding prize.
15 ends of play in the first round was followed by a sensational lunch organised by our fabulous band of “chef volunteers” before another game of 15 ends.
Winners of the day were Mooloolaba Bowls Club who were presented with their Plum Puddings by major sponsor Tony Weldon from Maleny Hotel.
