A man in his 20s remains in a life-threatening condition after reportedly being electrocuted by overhead train power lines at Landsborough on Thursday night (May 7).
Emergency crews were called to Beech Road, Landsborough at about 8.40pm following reports the man had come into contact with overhead rail infrastructure.
According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, the man suffered significant burns to his head, neck, chest and back. He was treated at the scene before being airlifted to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for specialist treatment.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said police were treating the matter as a mental health incident and would not be providing further details. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
