Masters of the Belgravia races

BEERWAH masters swimmer Lene Knudsen has broken two Queensland records for her age group in the Masters Swimming Queensland competition at Belgravia’s club in Burpengary.

Knudsen broke the 50-metre freestyle record by 0.23s, touching the wall in 29.24s.

She also broke the 100-metre freestyle record by 0.5s, finishing in 1:05.02.

She also came first in her 50-metre butterfly.

Other Beerwah Swimfit Club members also had impressive results.

Nardia Porfini won her 100m and 200m breaststroke events and Kylie Cornock won her 100m freestyle race.

Joanne Thorley came first in her 50m breaststroke and new competitor in the Beerwah team Davina Stokes placed second in the 50m breaststroke.

Thanks to the ladies’ efforts, their team placed equal 4th, and are now looking forward to future swimming events.
