IF you’ve popped into the local butcher in Landsborough recently, you might have met the new owners, Peter and Sue Denning, who took over the shop from Allan and Gill three months ago.
Peter and Sue have been long-term local residents for over 25 years and their daughter Allie went to Glasshouse Christian College.
Allie now works in the shop, which is quite rare in the industry to have a female butcher.
Their son also runs his own butcher shop in Dayboro, so it certainly runs in the family.
Peter has been a butcher for over 40 years and has a long career of successfully managing large butcher shops and brought his long-term friend and employee, Tim Warner, to the new shop.
When Peter and Sue decided to purchase their own butcher shop, they loved the idea of embedding themselves into their local community, and fulfilled their dream by buying Meat @ Landsborough.
Peter and Sue have big visions for the shop to expand their product range and they are in the process of building an e-commerce website for online ordering.
Make sure you pop in to say hi and if you spend $50 or more this week you can go into the draw to win a meat smoker for Father’s Day.
