The Queensland Government is investing $16.3 million to strengthen youth intervention programs, including a new police-run coordination hub and an expansion of Project Booyah in Inala.
A $10 million Queensland Police Service (QPS) Youth Coordination Hub will be built alongside the Inala PCYC. The hub will centralise youth-focused programs, including School Based Police Officers, the Adopt-a-Cop program, and early intervention support, with a focus on improving program effectiveness.
An additional $6.3 million will expand Project Booyah’s Bike School and Adventure Journey programs to Inala. Project Booyah is a 16-week initiative aimed at helping disengaged young people reconnect with their communities and employment through leadership development, vocational training, and adventure-based learning.
The investment is part of a broader effort to provide targeted support to at-risk youth, helping them develop skills, confidence, and resilience for a more positive future.
