AFTER 26 years, the Howard family has sold Woodford Home Hardware, with local uncle-and-nephew duo Nick and Isaac Duggan taking over the Archer Street business.
The store has been renamed Duggans Mitre 10 Woodford, building on the pair’s experience running Mooloolah Valley Mitre 10.
The Howard family said the decision to sell had been difficult, but thanked customers, staff, suppliers and the wider Woodford community for their support over more than two decades.
Existing staff will remain under the new owners, helping ensure continuity for local customers.
Nick and Isaac took over Mooloolah Valley Mitre 10 in November 2024 and have since expanded its product range and services, including paint, pool supplies, garden and landscaping products.
They plan similar improvements at Woodford, with new stock, a broader range and store upgrades.
The pair said they would focus on competitive pricing while maintaining the personal service associated with independent local businesses.
They are passionate about supporting the communities in which they operate, while also going the extra mile for their staff and customers.
