Multiple emergency crews rushed to the scene of a serious traffic accident at the intersection of Maleny-Landsborough Road and Montville Road just after midday today (June 11).
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, triggered a multi-agency response, with paramedics and fire crews in attendance.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed the incident was reported at approximately 12pm, with four QAS units dispatched to the scene.
The primary patient, a male motorcyclist in his 50s, sustained serious injuries including pelvic, leg and suspected chest trauma. He was stabilised at the scene before being transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
