THE Peachester Heritage Centre will open its doors for a special Open Day on Sunday, May 24, inviting the community to explore its unique collection and local history displays.
The event will run from 10am to 2pm at the centre on Peachester Road, behind the Peachester Hall, with entry $5 for adults and free for children.
A newly added framed photograph of Frank Butler in WWI uniform will be showcased in the Anzac Gallery, honouring local servicemen and women.
Visitors can also discover exhibits celebrating pioneering families, the timber and dairy industries, and the sport of wood chopping.
Displays dedicated to weather forecaster Inigo Jones feature instruments and documents, while the Jim Hall Whittling Collection continues to draw interest today.
