Open garden thanks

Contributed by Kyleigh and Michael Simpson, Louise and Jeff Tasker, Rowena Cavanagh

Three private gardens at Montville which opened on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday raised $19,500 for the Cittamani Hospice service.

The garden owners, Kyleigh and Dr Michael Simpson, Louise and Jeff Tasker and Rowena Cavanagh would like to thank all of our volunteers for their hard work in making this event so enjoyable and such a success.

We are also very grateful for the support received from local businesses The Flaxton Barn, Montville Mist Water and from our private donors of plants and produce all of which really helped support the event.

In an environment where COVID restrictions had been lifted we are pleased to report that our Open Garden event was attended by hundreds of tourists and local visitors in great Easter weather.

Thank you to all of you and to local groups and to Glasshouse Country and Maleny News which helped promote our gardens. This has resulted in a significant benefit for the Cittamani Hospice service.
