Operation Whiskey Unison leads to over 11,000 arrests

A year-long high-visibility policing operation has led to more than 11,000 people being arrested on nearly 17,800 charges across Queensland.

Since its launch in March 2023, Operation Whiskey Unison has focused on preventing and disrupting youth crime through targeted patrols in shopping precincts, hotspot areas, and public spaces. Of those arrested, 4,149 were juveniles facing 7,551 charges.

Police have completed over 160,000 proactive activities, including bail checks, business walkthroughs, and community engagement.

The operation is part of broader high-visibility policing initiatives, such as Bring the Beat, allowing residents to request a Mobile Police Beat in their local area.
