Matthew Flinders Anglican College has once again excelled in the Australian Tertiary Admission Ranks (ATAR), with its Class of 2025 achieving a median ATAR of 92.28.
This outstanding result comes as the 2025 NAPLAN outcomes position Flinders as the leading school on the Sunshine Coast and in the top 20 in Queensland.
Principal Michelle Carroll said, “Our College community is delighted for all of our 2025 graduates as they prepare for the next exciting chapter beyond Flinders.
“As a cohort and individually, our Year 12s achieved exceptional results, with a third of graduates above an ATAR 95, and 31 students achieving ‘A’ grades in every subject. We thank our staff for their unwavering commitment to our students’ wellbeing and academic growth.”
Ms Carroll congratulated College Dux Natalie Gilmore who achieved an ATAR of 99.9, with ‘A’ grades for all seven senior subjects, including a perfect score in English.
An avid musician and French language speaker, with an interest in law and engineering, Natalie’s plans for the future are still undecided, but she is grateful to have so many options.
“I’ve been accepted into the University of St Andrews in Scotland and have undergone the interview process for the University of Cambridge in England studying English,” she said. “If I can manage to source a scholarship, attending either university would be a dream come true.
“My time at Flinders has given me a real passion for learning. Whether it’s English, Science or Maths, I am motivated by the challenge of learning new concepts, a mindset I will carry with me. I will miss all of my amazing teachers…I’m grateful for their unending passion and support.”
