OPENING night of the Maleny Players’ production of Playhouse Creatures saw theatregoers get a first taste of what it means to act like your life depends on it.
In Creatures out the door goes the frugalities of puritanical England and ushered in are actresses appearing on the public stage for the first time.
The tale of this tumultuous time features superb performances from the entire cast, including Barbara Thomas as Mary Betterton, Catriona McKechnie as Doll Common, Erin Holland as Nell Gwynne and Ella Eade as Elizabeth Farley.
