Piano Room to open in Beerwah

A GRAND piano will find a new home in Beerwah later this month as a unique venue dedicated to music, learning and community connection prepares to open its doors.

The Piano Room, the newest venture from Sunshine Coast business Three Quarter Time, will officially open in late July, offering a boutique space for workshops, seminars, performances and community gatherings centred around a full-size grand piano.

Located on the corner of Peachester Road and Turner Street, the venue will be available for hire by the hour, half day or full day, catering for businesses, community groups, musicians and creatives looking for an intimate and welcoming setting. Beyond its function as an event space, The Piano Room will become the home of Three Quarter Time’s music and wellbeing programs, designed primarily for people aged over 50.

Among its regular offering will be Your Life in Song, where participants explore memories through the music that has shaped their lives, and Music as Medicine, a program drawing on neuroscience to promote cognitive, emotional and physical wellbeing through active musical engagement.

The venue is expected to begin welcoming visitors from the start of August, with locals invited to drop in for a chat, a cup of tea and a look around.

As communities continue searching for ways to combat loneliness and support healthy ageing, The Piano Room aims to offer something increasingly valuable a place where conversation, creativity and the timeless sound of a grand piano bring people together.
