Plastic Free Sea Festival

BEERWAH State High School student Poppy Ives isn’t slowing down during her school holidays, with the Visionary Ocean Warrior welcoming the community to come along to the Plastic Free Sea Festival this coming Saturday, July 2, from 8-11am.

The Plastic Free Sea Festival is a community environmental event located at Kawana Beach which focusses on reducing plastic consumption. Visionary Ocean Warriors hold regular beach clean-up events, in support of the Tangaroa Blue Australian Marine Debris Initiative.

Poppy shared the group, which she established alongside her family, welcomes the community to come along and participate in a beach clean, discover environmental organisations working towards a cleaner and healthier planet, and meet local companies doing it plastic free.

There’ll be fresh coffee, vegan treats, live music and happy vibes guaranteed at the family friendly event, which, despite the rainy forecast, is still going ahead.

Head on down to Coopers Lookout at the southern end of Kawana Surf Club this coming Saturday July 2 from 8–11am to get involved in this great initiative.
