Police warn of thefts over Easter

The Sunshine Coast is expected to experience a considerable increase in the number of visitors to the region.

Police are reminding tourists, residents and visitors to be vigilant when storing items especially in basement car parking lots.

In the past week, police have recorded property offences where basement car parks are being targeted.

On March 30, thieves entered a basement car park at a high rise in Lower Gay Terrace, Caloundra.

The tools were locked in a cage secured by a lock, however, the padlock had been cut.

CCTV is being reviewed and investigations are continuing.
