QCWA Beerwah Virtual Photography Competition

THE 2022 Virtual Photography Competition run by the QCWA Beerwah branch received over 100 amazing entries across eleven categories. QCWA branch members and non-members of the organisation can enter competitions across a broad range of skills and interests, fostering an exchange of ideas and knowledge. The photography competition is one that the Beerwah branch enjoys facilitating each year. Judging took place at a branch level with local photographer Ilia Starkovsky undertaking the hard task of selecting winning entries that proceed onto the next level of division judging. Finalists that make it through are judged at the Annual State Conference held in October.

There are specific opportunities for children in both primary and secondary school and some amazing entries were received by local children of all ages. The talented students from Landsborough Kindy sent in lots of entries, with young Zachary being awarded the runner up prize.

The competition is a great platform for anyone fascinated about photography and enjoys experimenting with images, and the Beerwah branch love to see such amazing images year after year.
