In a pioneering move to expand its reach, the Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) has launched a new virtual branch aimed at empowering women across the state, particularly those in regional and remote areas. This innovative online platform offers Queensland women the opportunity to connect, engage, and access vital resources, breaking down geographical barriers that have previously hindered involvement.
The virtual branch will provide members with the ability to participate in online meetings, workshops, and networking events from the comfort of their homes. It also offers a dedicated space for women to share advice, form professional connections, and access educational resources covering topics such as mental health, career development, and financial support.
QCWA President, Tamara Stephensen, expressed her enthusiasm for the new initiative: “We are thrilled to offer this virtual space, where women can connect, share, and support each other, no matter where they are in Queensland. This launch is a natural extension of our mission to empower women and ensure no one is left behind.”
The new virtual branch is open to women of all ages and backgrounds, offering a platform for personal and professional growth while fostering inclusivity. It aligns with QCWA’s ongoing efforts to adapt to the needs of modern women, providing an accessible and supportive community for all.
