Range Croquet Club

Contributed by David Kerr

The Range Croquet Club had a crack at this year’s Cut Flower competition at the Maleny Agricultural Show. Our hedge between courts 1 and 2 has over a dozen specimens of several types of Camellias, all of which are flowering delightfully as we progress through autumn and Pennants seasons.

The hedge has been in place for decades and provides an attractive visual barrier, especially during tournament play on both courts. In 2026 our Camellia may have missed out on getting a place, but on the courts our players in Association, Ricochet, and Golf Croquet are looking to “bloomin” winning in the Sunshine Coast regional pennants.

So, in the spirit that the noble sport of Croquet is known for, we say Well Done! to all those who had entries in 16 categories and many, many classes in the Pavillion competitions at the 2026 Maleny Agricultural Show. You certainly demonstrated how country people can “Make It, Grow It, and Show It”! If you would like to “Play It”, then give our club a call on 0417640704.
