Read all about it! We are going back weekly

By the GC&M News team

Big news everyone. Glasshouse Country and Maleny News is going weekly!

It’s been too long, we know, but we are confident this is the right decision for the newspaper, our readers and our advertisers.

One thing is for sure: there is so much good news happening that we struggle to squeeze it into a fortnightly paper.

It’s frustrating that we simply run out of space to give the wonderful stories of the people, places and events happening around the hinterland the coverage they deserve.

Well, that’s all changing from September 13 when our first weekly edition since April 2020 rolls hot off the presses.

There will be some changes including the traditional format of the newspaper.

This change allows us to keep costs under control so that we can keep delivering the news that matters to our communities.

But we think you’ll love the new look.

Our commitment to community news is as strong as ever, with more of the same content that advocates, celebrates and informs our loyal readers.

It means we will be able to report on and publish more timely and relevant stories and keep you up to date with key issues across the hinterland.

For local groups, sporting groups and other organisations we are doubling your opportunity to tell the wider community about the fantastic things you are doing each week.

There will also be more space each week to tell your stories so please keep us posted about what’s going on in your neighbourhood.

We will be in touch with updated schedules and deadlines in the coming weeks.

The GC&M News team is now working feverishly behind the scenes to make this all happen and we hope you enjoy the end result.

We’d also love to hear any suggestions you might have for new sections or regular features.

There’s more scope for content, so let us know your thoughts.
