Local stock, faster service, friendly hometown team
By Reece Plumbing
WHEN the doors of Reece Beerwah opened last week, Branch Manager Wayne Jones was excited to be able to help the community and customers he loves.
After 22 years living in Beerwah, and more than a decade managing Reece Morayfield, Wayne says the new branch is “ready to fill the gap for our customers.”
“I love the Beerwah community. It has a country-like feeling where everyone knows everyone,” he said. “I’ve been in the local area for more than 20 years, some people might have seen me as a trainer and strapper at the Beerwah Rugby League Club.
“I already knew so many of our tradies and locals, so I’m proud we can finally support them right on their doorstep.
“I knew a new branch opening here was the right decision when we posted on the local Facebook community page to say we were open,” Wayne says. “Someone emailed just to welcome us and wish us success. You don’t see that in big cities, it’s what makes places like Beerwah special.
“And I’ve got a great team here in my Assistant Manager Zayna, who lives in the area and would be a familiar face around town, and a team of young guys ready to bring energy to the branch.”
Beyond hometown warmth, the new branch fills a very practical gap. Until now, getting a Reece product into the Beerwah area could mean waiting two to three hours for delivery, or doing a 40-minute to an hour round trip to Morayfield or Caloundra to pick up parts yourself.
“The level of service we can bring the area is greatly enhanced now,” Wayne said. “Having a local branch for our customers means faster deliveries, more stock on the shelf, and a team that’s ready to go the extra mile. We can work quickly to sort someone out.”
He points to a recent call from the golf course who needed a specific part. “They needed something quickly, and because we carry a lot of stock, it was on the shelf here and they had it in half an hour. Chances are it was in the ground faster than they could’ve sourced it anywhere else.”
And if an item isn’t in Beerwah that minute, the network is. “We can tap into nearby branches to source what our customers need,” he said. “Plus, because Reece spans so many different business units like irrigation and pools, civil, HVAC-R and more, we can help customers explore other solutions.”
Growth is precisely what Wayne is focused on for the branch and for Beerwah. “We want to grow with the community,” he says. “The region’s going through change, new projects are popping up, and we want to help our customers in their success.”
That partnership mindset is as practical as it is personal. Faster turnaround means fewer delays on site. Local stock means fewer unplanned trips up or down the region’s roads. And a team that lives where it works means help that understands the terrain — literally and figuratively.
“Come in, say hello and introduce yourself and let us know how we can help you,” Wayne said with a grin. “We can’t wait to meet you and show you how Reece works for you.”
