Riding around the Glass House Mountains

By Kirra Livingstone

The AusCycling Queensland Individual Trials had their third round in the Glass House Mountains at the end of July, with cyclists of all ages competing.

Cyclists ages ranged from fifteen to nineteen years, and then over forty years in the master’s division, and completed at least one 13km lap around the township each.

Among those who cycled, who have previously competed in Toowoomba and North Arm, the two nineteen-year-old cyclists will be competing in the World Road Championships in September.

Out of the Sunshine Coast representatives, Parker Deutzmann came second in the under 15’s boys, Liam Cuthbertson came second in the under 17’s boys and Tinsley Janes came first in the D grade men’s division.

Craig Maskiell came fifth in the C Grade men’s division, Iain Matheson came fourth in the B Grade men’s division, and Isabelle Carnes and Jason Ford came first and third in the women and men A grade division respectively.
