THE Rotary Club of Maleny is continuing its push to bring back the Maleny Wood Expo, with organisers working towards the popular community event returning in October 2027.
Preparations have taken another step forward with Maleny Wood Expo Limited now established as a registered company and licensed directors appointed to oversee planning for the event.
Directors and members of the Maleny Wood Expo Ltd management committee recently met with Member for Glass House Andrew Powell to update him on progress and outline plans for the expo’s return.
Organisers said Mr Powell was enthusiastic and supportive of efforts to revive the event, recognising its importance to Maleny and the wider community.
Planning is already gathering momentum, with the committee contacting previous exhibitors to gauge interest in returning for the 2027 event.
A new website is also up and running, while organisers are in discussions with several potential sponsors as they work to secure support for the expo.
The committee described its meeting with Mr Powell as positive and said it looked forward to his continued support as preparations progressed.
