School investigating stab threat

BEERWAH State High School said it is currently undertaking an investigation after a message threatening to “stab everyone” today was found scrawled on the wall of a girls’ bathroom.

The message, “im gonna stab everyone on 6/2/25” was posted on the Beerwatch Facebook page prompting concerned parents to contact the school.

GC&M News reached out to the school, which said it could not comment beyond the fact that it is investigating the threat.

Some parents stated that they were keeping their children at home, while others dimissed the threat.

A QPS spokesperson confirmed QPS officers were called to Beerwah State High School around 8am this morning and are currently still on the ground investigating the incident.

QPS officers spoke with the school principal and administration staff earlier this morning.
“QPS have taken this incident seriously and will be maintaining a presence around the school today,” a QPS spokesperson said.

“QPS will be working with the school and will ensure an increased presence around the school until the source can be established.”
