THE Curated Plate Festival opened in spectacular fashion on July 24, with glorious sunshine, freshly baked scones and lively conversation setting the tone at Yanalla Farms’ popular Sconversations event. Guests gathered in the picturesque rural setting to enjoy homemade scones made with local produce while connecting with growers, producers and fellow food lovers.
The event helped kick off the Sunshine Coast’s annual celebration of local food, farming and culinary talent, which featured a packed program of farm tours, degustations, long lunches and exclusive dining experiences. Organisers said the 10 festival events which ran from July 24 to August 2, showcased the region’s thriving food culture and attracted visitors from across Queensland.
