Small gift, big heart

NOW that Beerwah has its own K Hub, it’s a little easier for locals to drop off a gift for the long-running Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal.

This year Kmart and The Salvation Army are spreading a small-gift big-heart message, letting Aussies know that even the smallest gesture can go a long way to helping others.

When you drop into the K Hub you will notice a change this year with the introduction of sustainable wishing trees made from 100% recyclable, renewable and reusable cardboard that people can adorn with handwritten message stickers.

The Wishing Tree Station is located on the right-hand side of the front door. When you drop off your new, unwrapped gift (that doesn’t have to have to be purchased at Kmart) you can grab one of the gift stickers and tick who the gift is for – baby, child, teen or adult.

If you would prefer you can make a financial donation at the checkout by adding your chosen amount to a transaction or pop a gold coin donation into a collection box at the check-out registers.

Online donations can be made via the QR code on the Wishing Tree Station or via  www.salvationarmy.org.au/christmas/get-involved-this-christmas/kmart-wishing-tree-appeal
