Sorry isn’t the hardest word for scratch-it winner

A Glass House Mountains woman who was gifted an Instant Scratch-Its ticket as an apology couldn’t believe her eyes when she discovered she’d scratched her way to a $25,000 win.
 
The hinterland local’s winning $2 Power x10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Beerwah Newsagency.
 
When an official from The Lott confirmed the top prize win, the gleeful woman shared the winning ticket turned out to be a great apology, allowing her to book a getaway she had been dreaming about.
 
“It’s very exciting news!” she cheered.
 
“My partner actually gifted me the ticket, as an apology to say sorry for something.
 
“Turned out to be a very good apology!
 
“We couldn’t believe our eyes. I think we must’ve checked our ticket about seven times in disbelief.
 
“We were really doubtful to begin with. It just didn’t feel real.
 
“It’s hard to believe a $2 Instant Scratch-Its ticket could lead to $25,000.
 
“We haven’t been able to celebrate just yet as we’ve had a really busy week.
 
“I think we’ll use the prize to book a holiday. There’re a few places I’ve been dreaming of going.”
 
Beerwah Newsagency owner Grant Townsend shared he was thrilled to discover a local customer had experienced a top prize win worth $25,000.
