AS spring arrives in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maple 3 in the heart of Maleny is preparing to welcome the new season with an enticing fresh menu designed to offer something for everyone.
Launching this week to coincide with the first week of spring, the new menu will introduce a selection of delicious new dishes alongside some much-loved favourites, with an emphasis on fresh, satisfying food and plenty of choice for dine-in and take-away customers.
Signature dishes include ribs served with salad and apple sauce, a stir-fry with rice and a choice of meat and the perfect dose of chilli, and a fresh salmon bowl.

There are also vegan options for plant-based diners, including eggplant focaccia and beetroot and chickpea focaccia. Maple 3 is also now stocking vegan-friendly Tigernut milk, adding another option for customers looking to enjoy their favourite handcrafted drinks with a plant-based alternative.
Located at 3 Maple Street, the iconic café has been part of the Maleny streetscape since 1996 and occupies a prime position on the town’s main street.
Today, it boasts the largest café space in Maleny, with indoor and outdoor dining areas and a spacious front deck providing the perfect setting to enjoy breakfast, lunch, coffee or cake.
Nolexa café management took over Maple 3 in 2021 and celebrated their five-year anniversary in June.
As a family-run business and part of the Nolexa group, Maple 3 has continued to build strong connections with the local community, while employing local staff including barista Carlee, who has been part of the café team for many years.
For Modi, the café is about more than simply serving food.
“Cooking has been a passion of mine for eight years,” he said.
That passion is reflected throughout the menu, with homemade cakes prepared in-house and Maple 3’s award-winning house-made pies among the popular choices for customers.
The café is open seven days a week from 7am, offering all-day dining with breakfast, lunch, coffees, cakes and a range of food and drinks. Whether it is a morning coffee, a leisurely brunch, lunch with friends or an afternoon treat, Maple 3 provides a relaxed space for locals and visitors alike.

The venue’s generous space also makes it suitable for private functions, weddings, events and other celebrations, offering another way for the community to make use of the much-loved Maleny venue.
Reflecting on the past five years, Modi said he was particularly grateful for the support the business has received from the local community.
“Maleny has supported us a lot, which I’m very grateful for,” he said.
“Five years ago, we started this journey with a vision, a lot of hard work, and the hope of creating something meaningful for our community,” he said.
“Looking back, we are incredibly grateful for how far we have come and we would sincerely like to thank our amazing customers for their continued support, trust, and loyalty.”
With spring bringing a fresh start and a fresh menu, Modi and his team are inviting locals and visitors to come and experience what Maple 3 has to offer.
“I would like to encourage locals and tourists to stop into the café to try our absolutely delicious food and wide selection of drinks,” he said.
With its new spring menu, spacious dining areas, local team and long-standing place in Maleny’s café scene, Maple 3 is ready for another season of good food, good coffee and community connection.
Open seven days from 7am for breakfast, lunch, coffee and cake, Maple 3 is located at 3 Maple St, Maleny.
