GLASSHOUSE Country Orchid Society will be holding the 2022 Spring Orchid Spectacular on Friday and Saturday, September 23-24, from 8.30am-4.30pm at Beerwah Community Hall (next to the Library). Entry is $4, children free.

The hall will feature a huge display of orchids grown by members of Glasshouse Orchid Club as well as showcasing orchids from across the Sunshine Coast, including large specimens, and many rare and unusual specimens.

The show has a reputation for its plant sales with a huge variety of genera available, many with spring flowers.

Attendees can also buy all their orchid accessories – pots, bark, fertilizer etc.

For beginners, the show is an excellent starting point, particularly to learn to identify the various genera.

Plants will be in flower making it easy to decide which ones you’d like to grow, and experienced growers will be on hand to give advice on their culture and care.

Noela Frizzo is a lifetime member and patron of our club. Noela has a wealth of experience and is very willing to share her love for and knowledge of orchids. As patron, she will be presenting prizes at the show.
