Bookings are now open for the next concert at St George’s, promising a fun-filled variety event led by the ever-resourceful and talented local musician Kim Kirkman.
The concert will take place at the church, located at 2 Walkers Drive, on Sunday, July 6 at 2pm.
An ex-member of the Ten Tenors, Kim is a gifted harpist, pianist, and violinist who delights in performing for his Maleny audience. “It’s such a joy to perform in Maleny, my adopted hometown. I really enjoy bringing pleasure through music and laughter to my audiences,” says Kim, who performs over one hundred concerts a year across Queensland.
The concert will feature a wide selection of music, from classical pieces to songs by Willie Nelson. Guest performers include Barrie and Pam Woods (voice and piano), violinist Nelson Mustard, and popular soprano Paige Allen.
Kim also promises some surprises, including violin solos and medieval music, courtesy of his “alter-ego, Michael of Canterbury.”
A Kim Kirkman concert is always a memorable experience, leaving the audience with “a smile on their lips and a song in their heart.”
Tickets are $25 and can be booked at events.humanitix.com.au, or by phoning Susan on 5494 3062 or 0407 953 225. Tickets may also be purchased at the door (card or cash).
