Strong ticket sales ahead of Woodford

Ticket sales for Woodford Folk Festival are flying high and another recent spike of interest has organisers feeling very optimistic about the return of the event this year.

Season camping tickets are in strong demand, with almost double the number of tickets sold compared to this time last festival.

“The good ticket sales are a relief,” said general manager Amanda Jackes. “As the huge cost increases across the board have been a challenge. It’s been a tough couple of years. Some of our suppliers have gone out of business and there was a lot of work to do to bring the site back to life after the shutdowns of the last two years. We’ve also opted to make some exciting changes to the event and so the surge in sales is comforting.”

“It will be three years since the last Woodford Folk Festival, and we have enjoyed the challenge of moving forward and bringing about three years of change in one.

“We think the spirit of this festival will be more powerful than ever. Woodford has been a beloved annual pilgrimage for many and there will be so many happy reunions this year.”

“It’s like a brand-new event – three years in the waiting,” said programme manager Courtney Wild. “We can’t wait.”

The 2022 Woodford Folk Festival is supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland and features on the It’s Live! in Queensland events calendar. Tickets are available through the festival’s website: woodfordfolkfestival.com
