STUDENTS from Landsborough State School and Glasshouse State School represented their schools with determination and sportsmanship at last week’s Mark West Rugby League competition, finishing with an impressive three wins from four games.
The team displayed courage and teamwork throughout the carnival, earning a place in the semi-finals after a strong performance in the pool matches.
They fought hard to a draw against Elimbah State School but were heartbreakingly eliminated on countback after Elimbah scored the first try of the match.
Although they narrowly missed a place in the final, the students’ commitment and resilience were praised by staff and supporters alike.
Congratulations go to Baringa Primary School, which claimed this year’s Mark West Rugby League Cup.
The schools also thanked coach Mr Spies for his dedication in preparing the team, as well as the parents and community members who turned out to support the players throughout the competition, helping create a memorable day for everyone involved.
