MEMBERS of the Peachester Garden Club gathered for a sunlit and sociable April meeting, celebrating community, and a milestone anniversary in a picturesque local garden.
Hosted at a private home on Range Road, Peachester on April 16, the meeting unfolded in near-perfect conditions, showcasing the tranquillity and beauty of a well-tended Peachester garden.
Guest speaker Peter Farquharson, from Healthy Soil and Plants, delivered an engaging and practical talk on the importance of healthy soils, leaving members with valuable insights to take back to their own gardens.
A generous morning tea followed, with special treats shared in honour of Marie and Richard Conway, who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this month.
The couple were presented with an orchid and a commemorative card signed by fellow members.
The meeting also featured the club’s competition table, with Di Millward awarded the Irene Owens Memorial Trophy by president Marilyn Cullen.
