THE Baringa Community Centre has been nominated as the space for the new Migrant Hub as part of the Queensland Government’s Diverse Queensland Workforce program.

Program Co-ordinator Stella Romagnoli said the program outreaches to the Nambour Community Centre, which will allow accessibility for those living in the Hinterland who need the program’s support.

“One of many benefits of the Migrant Hub is that all migrants with working rights can access the Diverse Qld Workforce Program at no cost,” she said.

“This program supports individuals from multicultural backgrounds to reach their potential exploring work opportunities matching their experience and knowledge from their countries of origin.”

The Migrant Hub is set to open on Monday January 9, and are welcoming both participants and potential employers to take part in the program.

Benefits on offer through this program include work experience, vocational English, networking opportunities and career coaching, to name a few.
