Sunshine Coast photo flashbacks now on file

A stunning visual archive of the Sunshine Coast’s past is now available for all to explore, with 26,000 historic photographs added to the Sunshine Coast Heritage Library.

Local photographer Bill Robinson’s collection, spanning the 1950s to 1980s, captures the region’s transformation from small coastal and rural communities into a thriving tourism hub. The images document the Sunshine Coast’s cultural and social history, as well as important aspects of the natural and built environment, from the 1950s through to Bill’s retirement in 1984.

This offers an unparalleled glimpse into the Sunshine Coast’s evolving landscape.
