Sunshine Coast’s new Dreaming Trails Tour

The Sunshine Coast will welcome a new First Nations–led tourism experience in 2026, with the launch of the Dreaming Trails Tour, a full-day guided journey designed to share local culture, history and food.

The tour brings together several Sunshine Coast Indigenous and agritourism operators, offering visitors an insight into First Nations knowledge, connection to Country and sustainable practices.

It will be operated by Mystic Mountain Tours, with pick-ups across the Sunshine Coast and Noosa.

The day begins with a welcome from Traditional Owner Kerry Neill, introducing participants to the cultural themes and stories that underpin the experience.

The first stop is QCamel Dairy in the hinterland, where guests learn about the lesser-known history of camels in Australia, including their connections to First Nations communities, and explore the working farm.

The tour then moves to the TribalLink Activity Centre at Mapleton for hands-on cultural activities.

Guided by First Nations facilitators, participants take part in ochre painting, learn about traditional tools and storytelling, walk through a bushtucker farm and share a bush-inspired lunch.

The final stop is My Dilly Bag, where Aboriginal chef Aunty Dale presents native ingredients and seasonal bush foods, highlighting sustainable food practices and caring for Country.

Dreaming Trails Tours will run every Monday from 12 January 2026.
