The Sunshine Coast’s annual food and drink festival, *The Curated Plate*, has enlisted The Comms. People to deliver a fresh approach to marketing and communications for its 2025 event. This announcement follows the appointment of renowned Sunshine Coast chef Peter Kuruvita as the festival’s first Culinary Director.
The Comms. People, a communications agency known for its focus on storytelling through words, images, and video, aims to attract locals and visitors to the 10-day festival, which highlights Sunshine Coast food, drink, and tourism.
“We’re big fans of The Curated Plate and recognise the role it plays in raising the profile of the Sunshine Coast’s food and agri-tourism offering. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with the Sunshine Coast Council to take the event to the next level by making it the biggest celebration of local flavours we’ve seen,” said Heather Mollins, Co-Founder of The Comms. People.
“Through the marketing, communications and the event itself, we hope to play a role in honouring the heart of the Sunshine Coast – local growers, producers and lifestyle. We look forward to supporting local businesses who are selected to be part of the event program as well as collaborating with Visit Sunshine Coast and the Food and Agribusiness Network,” she added.
Local businesses are encouraged to submit Expressions of Interest to participate. Kuruvita will assist chefs and venues with conceptualising events, particularly those featuring local ingredients.
