The purple revolution

QCWA members and friends support the purple revolution

A PURPLE wave rippled through the QCWA market day in Beerwah on October 19 as members and supporters gathered to promote awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV). Glasshouse Country Rotary Club President Steve Newton felt proud to see the community embrace Rotary’s DFV Awareness Campaign, introduced to the Sunshine Coast after its NSW launch in 2019.

“It is highly appropriate that the Beerwah branch of QCWA have joined in raising awareness for DFV when their theme is to focus on education, health and community throughout every phase of a woman’s life,” said GC Rotary Club President Steve Newton.

“This DFV scourge which has been evolving in our community and must be reversed through Awareness and the purveyors of this sickness must be brought to account.”
