THERE’S plenty to celebrate at Shapland Swim Schools in Aura this month, with the local swim school marking its third birthday!
Three years of teaching, learning, splashing and plenty of proud moments have seen Shapland become part of the swimming journey for many local families.
With spring now here and the weather warming up, it’s the perfect time to celebrate those swimming milestones, from a little one’s first confident dip to learning to float, tread water, swim independently and develop the skills that can help keep children safer around water.
At Shapland Swim Schools, lessons are designed to make learning positive, focused and personal. Classes are limited to just three children, with 20-minute sessions allowing instructors to give each swimmer plenty of individual attention and tailor lessons to their ability and development.
Lessons commence from six months of age, while Shapland also offers a specialised home development program for newborns up to six months, helping families begin building water familiarity from the very start.
As temperatures rise and more families head towards the water, the beginning of spring is also a timely reminder that swimming skills and water safety should be a year-round priority.
Lessons are one important layer of protection, alongside active adult supervision and teaching children to recognise and respect water hazards.
Three years on, Shapland Swim Schools is continuing to help local children make those important swimming milestones, one lesson at a time.
