Time to strike a pose

SPORTS portraits have never looked as striking as this.

Masterpiece Dance and Captivate Media are collaborating in a one-off launch of special effects sport portraits for young athletes.

Tim, the owner of Captivate Media, has created a unique style of sport portraits for kids and teens who want to add a unique flare to their portfolio, or a memento for parents to cherish.

Masterpiece Dance owner Sarah Kwarcianyi said the process isn’t as easy as it may seem to customers.

“It takes a good hour for a person to come in and bring different outfits depending on the sport they do, and really take time to get the right poses and everything on the green screen,” she said.

“The time-consuming part is the digital part. He’ll take the photos, but he’ll spend hours on the editing process to make it look really cool.”

The relationship between the two businesses has been going since Tim started filming their dance concerts for DVD six years ago.

Sarah said she wanted to expand their relationship and enhance the usage of their dance studios.

“I asked him about wanting to collaborate and do photo shoots from the studio,” she said.

“He already had something he was working on and wanted to create a unique photography service, and it was a bit different from what was already out there.”

Although the launch day was on the 14th of August, with limited spots available for the first edited sport portraits, you can book in through Tim at his studio based in Elimbah for your own portraits.

The standard package for four professionally edited photographs is $295, and gives you three digital copies of three photos, and one printed version of the fourth picture.
