Toastmasters mark 30 years

On June 26, Glasshouse Country Toastmasters Club proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary at its Beerwah home.

The milestone event brought together charter members, past mentors, former presidents, long-standing members, current Toastmasters, and many supportive guests.

A special highlight was Lorraine Keelty, a key founder of the club in 1995, who delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on the club’s rich history and impact.

The celebration also honoured Esther Frizzo, a founding member and the only member to remain active throughout the club’s entire 30-year journey. Esther has been a mentor, leader, motivator, and guiding light for many members.

Though she usually participates via Zoom, Esther attended in person for this special occasion, accompanied by her husband Robert.

In recognition of her extraordinary commitment, Esther received a commemorative badge marking 30 years of continuous membership—a symbol of her wisdom, warmth, and dedication to every meeting.
