THE Crisafulli Government has expanded the Reboot Your Trade Training pilot program to support more than 700 apprentices who have lost or left their jobs, providing funded TAFE Queensland training while helping them secure new employers.
The program, initially supporting 110 carpentry, electrical and plumbing apprentices in Greater Brisbane, will now include regional Queensland and expand into air conditioning and refrigeration, automotive and engineering trades.
Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Ros Bates said the initiative would help build the skilled workforce needed for Queensland’s future infrastructure projects.
This activity is a joint initiative of the Australian Government and Queensland Government to support more students to complete their training.
