IN THE week leading up to Christmas, members of the Mooloolah Valley Community Association Inc were delighted to present a cheque for $2,500 to Twinnies Pelican and Seabird Rescue.
The donation will be used on specific urgent projections for the Twinnies. New CCTV cameras were installed this year to give greater security to the premises along Steve Irwin Way, Landsborough.
“We are delighted to support the twins int heir important rescue and rehabilitation of the wild birds program, which without their local intervention and support would be a disaster for injured and distressed birds,” MVCA’s Jason Carroll said, adding in January they will be reporting back on a brand new external roadside sign package for the Twinnies.
