Cupid’s Masquerade Ball
THE hinterland based Rangebow Festival is set to host the inaugural Cupids Masquerade Ball, a Valentine’s Day celebration dedicated to adults aged 18+ with disabilities.
Scheduled for Friday, February 14 2025, the event will take place from 6-10pm at the stunning Altitude Nine venue in City Hall, Maroochydore.
With a focus on inclusivity, the Cupids Masquerade Ball aims to create a safe and joyful space for people with disabilities to enjoy music, dancing, and friendship.
Guests will experience live entertainment, featuring a band and DJ, along with inclusive dining that includes a mask, an individual antipasto box upon arrival with a mocktail, and a single bowl meal for each ticket holder.
In line with its commitment to health and well-being, the event will be alcohol-free.
Wayne Parcell, Rangebow Festival Director, explained, “This event is designed for people living with disabilities to enjoy music and dance with new and old friends in a beautiful space.”
“The venue is accessible, and we are thrilled there will be a sensory space available to ensure that neurodiverse attendees can be comfortable at the event, which might otherwise be a little overwhelming.
“With three successful festivals under our belt, the Rangebow Festival team is confident this will be a memorable event and a highlight of the Valentine’s season.”
Mr Parcell said by celebrating love, friendship, and community, a key aim will be to make Cupids Masquerade Ball an annual tradition.
“We are grateful for the funding and in-kind support already provided by Mayor Rosanna Natoli and Councillor Taylor Bunnag and the Sunshine Coast Regional Council,” Mr Parcell said.
“Their contribution underscores the importance of community partnerships in making events like this possible.”
The event, which has a capacity of 150 guests and is priced at $79 per ticket, is made possible with the support of The Compass Institute Inc. and local community partners.
Tickets are available for purchase online at the Rangebow Festival website, with all proceeds helping to support future inclusive events across the Sunshine Coast.
With its history of delivering meaningful, accessible experiences, the Rangebow Festival is poised to make the Cupids Masquerade Ball an unforgettable annual tradition for the community.
