Hello and welcome to our very first regular contribution to the Glasshouse Country & Maleny News.
Waste Action Maleny (WAM) is a local group dedicated to reducing the amount of waste going to landfill. We seek to do this by engaging in actions to raise community awareness and discussion about the waste crisis and its far-reaching effects on our future.
We will be exploring how we can do this by:
• Rethinking the role we each play as producers and consumers of waste
• Reducing what we consume
• Reusing what we have
• Repairing our existing possessions
• Repurposing items for another use
• Rehoming things that we no longer need
• Recycling materials to create new products
